From July 14 to 17, the international Haining Fashion Week 2026 took place in the city of Haining, China.
China's fur hubs: Yuyao — Daying — Haining
China has several fur clusters, most notably in the cities of Yuyao, Daying, and Haining. Each competes to some extent with its neighbors and holds its own exhibitions. It's worth noting that participation in these exhibitions isn't limited to residents of the provinces mentioned.
Last year, for example, we exhibited at Yuyao with our own booth and attended the Daying event as guests. This year, after visiting fur manufacturers in Haining back in March, we decided to check out the local exhibition as well.

To avoid any confusion, it’s worth clarifying that, besides the mainland China exhibitions we mentioned, there’s also an annual show in Hong Kong. Fur Hong Kong isn’t really a local cluster like Yuyao, Daying, and Haining – it’s more of an international hub and a showcase for fur brands, a bit different from the rest.
Still, Hong Kong’s role doesn’t take away from how important the mainland events are for the fur industry.

A rapid rise in design diversity
At the Haining event, visitors could check out a wide variety of brands – from those fully dedicated to fur to manufacturers who mainly work with genuine leather and just use fur as a stylish accent. The booths really drew attention all three days long.
Each day of the exhibition featured a series of fashion shows, consistently headlined by one of Haining's fur brands.
Key takeaway: sable is still trending. At the booths, you could find classic sable coats plus other furs dyed in that signature sable shade – basically, a “sable look.”
Also worth noting: mink, arctic fox, lynx, and chinchilla are super popular too. Chinese designers are really making these furs part of everyday outfits.

The event clearly demonstrates that China's fur market continues to grow actively – both in terms of supply and demand, and in the evolution of design thinking.
