The 21st sanctions package, adopted on July 23, 2026, included a clarification regarding code 4302 (Tanned or dressed furskins).
The EU Council made an exception for dressed sable skins, which are now exempt from restrictions.
From the text of the Resolution dated July 23, 2026:
The entry for CN code 4302 is replaced by the following:
Tanned or dressed furskins (including heads, tails, paws and other pieces or cuttings) excluding of sable (Martes zibellina), unassembled, or assembled (without the addition of other materials) other than those of heading 4303’.
It also follows from the wording that all other types of dressed fur can still not be imported into the EU and the UK.
